| Mr Birdy you weren’t meant to be there! |
It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally got out to start this Photographic Journal properly.
One I’ve riding past this sculpture on my daily commute for the last two years, and it has always seemed dying for some photos to be taken of it. This is just the start. I’ll keep coming back to this sculpture over time as a way of testing my ideas and technique.
Initially I only took a 100 – 300mm lens with me, and now that I’ve sat there looking through the lens, I can see the benefit of having something in the 50mm range (which I almost put in my bag).
The image above (the very first one that I took), is the only one I’ve played with in Lightroom. It is pretty much smack bang on what I was after (that is not to say it’s a good photo!). I’ve got a few more yet to go through (mainly from different angles).
Eventually the bird flew away, and as yet I’m undecided if I like the bird there or not.
