All Aboard the Express Train

172/366 – Central – All aboard, next stop Central.

Apparently I’m a trainspotter. That was said by my friend who works in the procurement of rolling stock when he saw this picture. I feel dirty.

While the thought of being a trainspotter is bizarre, I find photographing trains quite interesting. The confluence of movement, people and their locations has a lot of potential.

This was my shot for the Powerhouse Museum Photography Competition. It was never going to win (nor did it), especially with me putting in so much of the bridge structure in the foreground.
